Music of the Soul

I thought about writing a big introduction to Malek Jandali’s music, however it is one of those times when you find exactly what you are looking for, though you were not knowing and  so near of losing hope after so much searching.

That’s when I was introduced to Malek Jandali,  it was the same when I first heard about Lena Chamamyan, at first I didn’t pay attention, but this time it was different.

Malek Jandali is a Syrian pianist/composer credited with arranging the first known musical notation dating back 3400BC that was discovered in Ugarit, Syria. In his latest album, ‘Echoes from Ugarit’ he connects with the soul of this ancient and beautiful music and brings it back to life in enchanting rhythms.

When talking to people about music, our tastes may be different, but lets all support the new generation.
